WebTailor Create a New Return Location/ Customize the Selected Return Location

Login return locations determine where users go after their login is processed. Generally, these are only used with secured areas of otherwise insecure systems. For example, if a learner is browsing the course catalog and wants to pay for a course, he/she must login to the system for secure payment processing. If the login return location is set to the payment screen, the learner will see that screen when he/she is finished entering the login information. You can create a new login return location or modify an existing one.

To create a new return location or customize an existing one:

  1. Complete the required fields on the form (identified with an asterisk *) and any additional fields you need.
  2. Click Save Changes to save the information you entered or click Reset All Fields to reset the information to the last saved version.

To delete a return location:

Required Field Description
* Return Code The return code appears in the login screen URL. If you are creating a new return location, this field is required. Enter a single-letter code for the location. If you are customizing a return location, this information is displayed by default.
* Description Enter a description for the return location. This description will appear in the drop-down list when you are customizing a return location.
* Return Location Click drop-down arrow and select either the frameset or the page that the user proceeds to after logging in.
  Location is Click the radio button to select whether the location is a frameset, web menu (dynamically generated from the WebTailor menu), or web procedure.
  Override for Startpage If the location is a frameset and a page other than the start page should be displayed in the right-hand frame, click drop-down arrow and select the page.
  Forward Login? Check this box if the login screen should be forwarded to a non-frames environment.
  Associated Packages Enter the PL/SQL package(s) the user is running when the login is required.
  Associated Modules Click drop-down arrow and select any additional modules that should be associated with this return code.
